Do I need an account to chat?
No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to fill in. You are represented anonymously from the moment you arrive.
What can the other person see about me?
Only the messages you choose to send, and the topic or interests you picked if they match theirs. Not your name, email, phone number, location or IP address. There is no profile or photo, because there is nothing to make one from.
Is AnonChat free?
Yes. Chatting costs nothing, and there is nothing to buy.
How old do you have to be to use AnonChat?
18 or older. AnonChat pairs adults with strangers and is not a safe place for anyone younger.
What if someone makes me uncomfortable?
Leave — one tap ends the conversation, and you never have to explain. Report sends a copy of it to a moderator, and still works after they have gone. Block, and you won't be matched with them again.
Can I chat with a group instead?
Yes. Make a room, share the link, and up to 12 people can join. Rooms are not listed anywhere, and you can lock one with a PIN.
What happens when a conversation ends?
It ends. There is no profile linking it to you and no way to find the other person again. Conversations are deleted after 30 days; reports are kept longer so a moderator can act on them.
